Welcome to May Photo Contest - Cowboy Up!

How does it work?
The Genoa Cowboy Festival and Merle Maggard just rode out of town, and we know you took photos.

The Record-Courier is sponsoring a photo contest with the theme of "Cowboy Up." Submissions can range from lassos, to spurs, to a cow grazing in a field. Anything that has hide, stirs up dust or just looks like it came out of an old western movie send our way.

Photos can be submitted May 15-26 Voting is open May 18-27 Contest is open to all Douglas, Alpine and Mono county residents.

The Record-Courier reserves the right to disqualify any photos deemed inappropriate.

Can I still play if the contest has already started?
Yes. As long as it is still within the voting period.

Are there prizes?
First place gets a $25 gift certificate from Cowboy Café.
